My very last stop on the BDAY tour de force was Amsterdam...it was chaos unabridged..

due to wacky photo Karma that I have...yes...once again all my photos were lost from this trip...I tried to recover them using a photo software recovery program...what a waste of money...

However...I was able to recover these oddly merged pieces of photos...I had a huge housing dilemma while I was there and was saved (via Kiini and Dominique) by Yehudi and his family...I had a really wonderful picture of them but dammit its gone...I must move on...these fragmented bits of he and his wife are actually oddly beautiful in a way...

not that I'm a glass half full girl...that's annoying...but I sort of like what came of these few images...Yehudi took this of me during preparations for Sinterklaus for their daughter Carmella who was a beautiful bit of sunshine...she didn't even mind my terrible reading of the Jungle Book in Dutch...though she was rushing the pages a bit she was a great sport about it...

I did a lot in my 4 days in the Netherlands...actually left Amsterdam as I rode a long train in the wrong direction...So I saw more than I expected to...caught up with my friend from South Africa - a well needed reunion, went to the Van Gough Museum which blew me away, roamed around the cobbled stoned canal streets, met artists, went to fairs and pop-up shops - Martin's traveling pop up shop was so inpiring

and went past the infamous Cafe's...I won't say more...both painful and pleasurable...I'll be back without a doubt...I'm a glutton for punishment I guess
