Just down the road from the V&A is Harrods...a super luxurious department store that sells everything from toys to haute couture...its the only place where I don't feel bad rubbing up on an Alexander McQueen dress shamelessly...
5 stories of heaven for children and adults alike...the kitsch part of getting to each level is the famous Egyptian hall...to honor the heritage of owner Mohamed Al Fayed...father of Dodi Al Fayed famous for being the boyfriend of Princess Diana. A memorial statue was erected of the two of them inside the store entitled "Innocent Victims"
photos are prohibited inside but the window displays give a sample of what the interior is like...opulence is an understatement...a darkly themed Wizard of Oz for the holiday season...
